I’m all about supporting the local community of artists, craftsmen, and designers…and trying to be cool.  Hence, the outfit above.  Don’t all the rappers sing about snapbacks? Cool.  And didn’t all the kids start smoking to be badass? Cool.  So I mean, basically I look really legit here.  Back to reality tomorrow.

But in all seriousness, the hat is by a local Chicago brand, DPTR Clothing.  I like them because not only do they make really cool pieces, they also are founded on a really great message – to be who you are. I think with fashion sometimes that message is loud and clear and sometimes it gets convoluted. Don’t ever forget to just do you.

  1. I like your hair color a lot. Have you found that it has become more damaged? I would like to try this but worry about the damage.

    1. Hi! Yes, it is definitely more damaged than before I dyed it so light but I am still glad I went for it. I would recommend it. You might as well have fun with your hair. I am almost tempted to go really dark soon since I have never done that, but that might just do my hair in once I decide to go back!

      1. Casey, I’ve gone black before and thought it was fun. My hair was not damaged. Obviously, it’s easier to go dark than light. My natural color is dark brown and I have brown eyes and dark, thick eyebrows so it looked pretty good on me.

        1. That is good to hear! I really want to try black but want the option to go back lightly rather quickly. I guess extensions are always an option if all else fails! haha..Love that you have the guts to experiment!
