I usually don’t post any recipes on here because I’ll be honest, I don’t know how to cook anything except broccoli and mac and cheese. However, I do know how to make a smoothie, and I just made the BEST green smoothie this morning. It is inspiring me to write this post. I had not tried this combo before. It is so good I literally think I am going to have a second one after I finish typing this.
1/2 cup Almond milk (I usually use unsweetened vanilla, but this morning I tried Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Milk and it was SO good. This does have more calories and sugar than the unsweetened vanilla though so I will probably only use it occasionally.)
3-4 organic dates – pitted, just take the seed out (the more you use, the sweeter the taste – I get mine at Whole Foods in the produce section)
1 frozen banana – take the peel off before you freeze it
1.5 cap fulls of vanilla extract
2 ice cubes
1 cup frozen kale
Put in the blender and blend. Enjoy!
